Facebook Layoff affected on LinkedIn
An Indian man who recently shifted to Canada to work with Meta was sacked just two days after joining. He graduated from IIT Kharagpur and said he has no idea what is next in store for him.
A Meta owned facebook employee was on the maternity leave, after a few days she received the news of her layoffs from the organization. Anneka Patel was working on the profile of Facebook communications manager. She was on maternity leave; her leave was among the 11000 Meta employees infected by the mass layoffs of the tech giant META.
Recently, An IT professional Neelima Agarwal, who joined Meta owned facebook two days back, is among the people who have lost their jobs.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Neelime had left her two-year old job at Microsoft Office in Hyderabad to join Meta and relocated to Canada from India just a week back and joined Meta 2 days ago after going through such a long visa process. But the unfortunate sad day has come and she got laid off.
Another layoff affected person shared on LinkedIn post, “I joined Meta three days back after waiting for the long visa process. Thanks to all the folks who made that transition smooth. Really sad that this happened, my heart goes out for everyone who is affected by the layoffs,” Jha posted.
Mark Zuckerberg has taken accountability of these layoffs and promised 16 weeks of base pay plus two additional weeks for every year of service as severance package to the impacted employees.
