Google has unveiled a new subscription tier called AI Plus, providing users with more accessible entry into its suite of AI tools.
Positioned between the free tier and the premium AI Pro membership, AI Plus offers enhanced features at a lower cost, including access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro AI model and the Veo 3 Fast video generation tool.
According to Google, AI Plus subscribers will receive more capabilities than the free plan but fewer than those available in the AI Pro and Ultra tiers. Notably, this plan includes a 128K token context window for the Gemini AI model – quadruple the 32K limit on the free tier.
AI Plus users will also get access to the Gemini side panel in Workspace apps like Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, and Drive, along with tools such as Whisk (image-to-video) and Flow (video editing software). An added perk: 200GB of cloud storage across Gmail, Drive, and Photos.
Currently, the AI Plus plan is available only in Indonesia for IDR 75,000 per month (approximately Rs. 400), with a 50 per cent discount offered for the first six months.
In comparison, Google’s AI Ultra plan in India costs Rs. 24,500, while the AI Pro plan is priced at Rs. 1,950 per month.
Earlier this year, Google also rolled out AI Mode in India, which now supports Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, and Brazilian Portuguese.
