Google Pixel phones are some of the most anticipated devices of the year, and the upcoming Pixel 10 series is no exception. In the last few weeks, some leaks have hinted that Google might launch new phones a few weeks prior, but now leaks claim that the tech giant may have pushed the date back to August.
Going by a post by the known tipster Arsene Lupin on X, it looks like Google would be launching the Pixel 10 series at the Made By Google event on August 13, but a new report by Android Headlines on Monday, June 2, claims that these upcoming phones will be unveiled on August 20, with pre-orders starting August 28.
Unlike Apple iPhones, which are often announced in the first, second or third week of September, Google is known for shifting the Pixel series launch date forward or backwards by a few months. Back in 2023, the Pixel 8 was officially announced in October, but now it looks like the tech giant will be going back to an August launch.

The upcoming Pixel 10 series, which consists of four models – Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel Pro Fold are said to be powered by Google’s in-house designed Tensor G5 chipset. Unlike the Tensor G4, which was partly held back by Samsung’s foundry, the upcoming chipset is expected to offer more performance and better thermals, thanks to TSMC.
Aside from the new and faster chipset, a newly leaked commercial hints that the base model in the Pixel 10 series will now sport a telephoto lens. However, to keep the price of the device in the same line with its predecessor, Google may downgrade the main and ultrawide lenses. Coming to the Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro XL, leaks suggest that these devices will have the same cameras as their Pixel 9 series counterparts.
On the design front, the Pixel 10 series will have the same design language as its predecessor. And with Google announcing numerous AI features at this year’s I/O event, we expect to see new generative AI features like Video Generative ML, Speak-to-Tweak, and Sketch-to-Image.
Google also recently introduced its official Google Store in India, enabling users to purchase new Pixel devices directly from the source. Like last year, the vanilla Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold are expected to start from Rs 79,990, Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,72,999, respectively. However, Google might bump up the Pixel 10 Pro XL’s price by around $100 or Rs 8,500, with the phone now likely to cost from Rs 1,02,200.
