Airtel AI-powered search engine offer: Airtel is giving away one year Perplexity Pro subscription for free Here’s how to claim it

Bharti Airtel, one of India’s most popular network operators, is offering one year of free Perplexity Pro subscriptions to eligible users. Unlike traditional AI-powered chatbots like ChatGPT and Gemini, Perplexity is an AI-powered search engine that lets you ask anything and answers it by gathering information from the internet. To do this, the company says it uses a combination of “cutting-edge language models like GPT-4.1 and Claude 4.0 Sonnet” to generate accurate and clear answers.

With Perplexity Pro, users can easily switch between large language models from the likes of Google, OpenAI and Anthropic and use the one they think works best for them. The premium Pro subscription lets you perform up to 300 AI-powered searches in a day, upload documents and files for analysis and summarisation and even includes a text-to-image generator powered by the likes of DALL-E and others.

You also get access to Labs, a recently added feature that helps users create spreadsheets, web apps, and dashboards by performing 10 minutes or more of “self-supervised work” using a wide range of tools like deep web browsing, code execution, and chart and image creation.

How to claim the Perplexity Pro subscription?

To claim your free Perplexity Pro annual subscription worth Rs 17,000, open the Airtel Thanks app and navigate to the ‘Rewards’ section. Here, find and tap on the banner that says “Get 12 months of Perplexity Pro worth Rs 17,000 FREE”.

On the screen that appears, simply click on the ‘Claim Now’ button, complete the sign-up or sign-in process on Perplexity’s website, and you are good to go. Since this is a complimentary subscription, you won’t have to enter any credit card or other payment details.

While Indian telecom operators have mainly focused on bundling access to video streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime and others, this is the first time a network operator is offering an annual premium subscription for an AI chatbot.
