The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered is already discounted, so get it now

Read Time:2 Minute, 35 Second

If you’re suffering from serious Oblivion Remastered FOMO and have been hoping to find the RPG at a great price, this brilliant deal is a gift from the Nine. Fanatical is offering The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered at a discount just after launch, slashing 17% off the usual price of its standard and deluxe editions.

Oblivion Remastered may have been one of the worst-kept secrets of the year, but that hasn’t stopped fans from lapping up the beautifully reimagined Cyrodiil. Bethesda and Virtuos’ stunning remaster modernizes one of the best RPGs of all time with refined gameplay and breathtaking visuals, while purposely keeping some of the original’s quirks. That means fans of the original get a serious nostalgia trip, while new players have a chance to see what all the fuss is about.

I’m a big Oblivion fan, so returning to the game that got me into RPGs almost 20 years later has been a dream come true. The modernized systems mean gameplay doesn’t feel as outdated, and I’ve been having an absolute ball hunting down my favorite NPCS and quests to see how they’ve changed. The answer is, thankfully, for the better. The Adoring Fan is just as annoying but slightly more handsome, and the A Brush With Death sidequest is more of a technicolored fever dream than ever before. What’s more, the remaster packs in the Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine story expansions that I never had a chance to play before, so this game feels as new as it does familiar.

If I’ve not sold you on why this remaster is worth picking up, this Fanatical deal certainly will. Fanatical is offering The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered at a fantastic price, discounting the standard and deluxe editions by 17%. So, the standard edition, usually $49.99 / £49.99, is now $41.49 / £41.49, and the deluxe edition, usually $59.99 / £59.99, is discounted to $49.79 / £49.79.

That means you can pick up the deluxe edition for the usual price of the standard, which I highly advise doing as it offers the best value. Here is what you get in the standard edition:

  • Base game
  • Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine story expansions
  • Additional DLC: Fighter’s Stronghold expansion, Spell Tome Treasures, Vile Lair, Mehrune’s Razor, The Thieves Den, Wizard’s Tower, Orrery, and Horse Armor Park

With the deluxe edition, you get all this plus the Akatosh and Mehrunes Dagon armors, weapons, and horse armor sets. If that’s not enough, you also get some goodies like the digital artbook and the soundtrack app.
