Silksong dice game guide – how to win and rewards

Read Time:2 Minute, 21 Second

How do you win the Silksong dice game? While it’s entirely possible to win this little minigame with pure chance alone, a simple trick can almost guarantee you one easy win after the next. Whether or not the Silksong dice game rewards are worth it is entirely up to your particular playstyle, but you’ll tick off a simple sidequest regardless.

The Hollow Knight Silksong dice game activity is an entirely skippable section in the metroidvania game that requires winning a game of chance enough times to take all of Lumble’s Rosaries. Unlike the Silksong Hokers sidequest, which grants a movement reward like the Silksong Wall Jump, the reward for this one isn’t a must-have. But that doesn’t mean it’s worth ignoring.

How to win the Silksong dice game

You can guarantee a Silksong dice game win by shaking the dice for exactly four seconds before rolling them. Rolling the dice outside of this apparently intentionally programmed perfect window results in a completely random outcome. As it should.

Counting Hornet’s sharp arm movements is great for perfecting the timing needed to win the dice game. She shakes the dice like a metronome. Let go on the fourth shake and she’ll let out a distinct sound, which signals a winning roll. Do this enough times in a row to clear Lumble’s inventory.

After a few dice game wins, your reward will be the Magnetite Dice. This is another hidden Silksong Tool that can be applied to your preferred Silksong crest. Check out that page if you’re itching to know how it might affect your playstyle.

How to find the Silksong dice game

If you manage to bite the dust before winning the dice game, you might not know how to find it again. The Silksong Dice Game takes place in the Blasted Steps area of the Hollow Knight Silksong map, specifically by speaking to Lumble the Lucky.

To reach the area quickly, hop on the Bellway to the Blasted Land, then simply make your way to the east side of the room. Lumble is found at the end of the hallway.

There have been reports of Lumble going missing if you attempt to play the Dice Game in Act 3. While we can’t confirm or deny the accuracy of this or comment on why it might happen, it’s enough for us to recommend getting the Silksong dice game reward before progressing into the third act.

Not sure if you’re about to move into Act 3? Check out our Hollow Knight Silksong bosses guide for a hint. And if you want to go into each boss completely spoiler-free, you might be able to use our Hollow Knight Silksong length guide to work out how far you have left to go.
