New horror game Shark Dentist is exactly what it says it is, and it’s terrifying

Read Time:1 Minute, 48 Second

I’ve never been a fan of going to the dentist, but I’m pretty sure the creepy horror sim, Shark Dentist, is about to put me off going for life. Inspired by Buckshot Roulette but with sharks, because of course, this pulse-pounding horror game puts you in the gloves of a dentist in charge of patients with chompers that rival Jaws himself. Shudder.

Like some of the best horror games out there, Shark Dentist has taken something perfectly mundane and made it downright terrifying. Perform agonizingly precise dental procedures on half-awake sharks in your clinic, a horrifyingly claustrophobic underground basement full of rusty chains and strange breathing.

If that wasn’t stressful enough, you’ll also have to simultaneously manage pain levels, administer anesthesia, and monitor vital signs, all while racing against the clock that is the rising stress levels of the deadly shark whose jaws your head is shoved between.

Every playthrough is kept fresh with randomized tooth problems ranging from infections to gross looking growths. You can choose to operate with a whole host of realistic dental equipment, including a bone saw if that’s your kind of thing.

There is only one caveat: you have to choose carefully, for every mistake can be fatal. One wrong move, and your patient will spring to life – and there’s plenty that can go wrong, from tool malfunctions to sudden pain spikes, if the eerie trailer is anything to go by.
