How to unlock the Double Jump in Hollow Knight Silksong
Yes, you can double jump in Hollow Knight Silksong. Let’s get that out of the way first. But not for a while. Unlike the Dash and Glide abilities, you won’t learn how to Double Jump in Silksong until you reach the Mount Fay area. It’s here that you find a monument that leads to obtaining the Faydown Cloak.
Reaching the area requires completing a particularly long and arduous platforming journey that starts from the left exit of The Slab’s Bellways spawn.
On top of needing abilities like Dash, Glide, Harpoon, and Wall Jump, you’ll also need to be quick on your feet. The climb takes you high into frigid territory where you’ll take periodic damage. You’ll need to be fast to avoid succumbing while remaining precise in your platforming so as not to fall all the way back down.
You can mitigate the risk somewhat by collecting enough Hollow Knight Silksong Mask Shards to boost your health pool. Like healing in Hollow Knight Silksong, extra health can only do so much, though.
Reach the top of the frozen mountain in one piece to claim your prize. On its own, the Double Jump ability does little to stand out. Combined with your other abilities, however, traversing what’s left of the Pharloom should be much, much easier. It’s a safety net ability at the very least.
Now that you have the Hollow Knight Silksong Double Jump ability, you might want to check out our Hollow Knight Silksong length guide to discover how much more you’re still to see. Otherwise, our guide to the best Metroidvanias games might introduce you to your next adventure.
