The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is massive, with plenty to do on the surface, in the sky, and in the depths. Head below for a breakdown of the different playstyles and how that may affect how long it may take to beat TotK.

How long is Tears of the Kingdom?
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom takes roughly 100 hours to complete for most people, according to players polled by HowLongToBeat. There are, of course, different playstyles, as shown below:
- Main story – 60 hours
- Main + extras – 110 hours
- Completionist – 245 hours
- All playstyles – 105 hours

It’s important to note that HowLongToBeat’s sample size is still only a fraction of players. Just over 250 people have logged their playtime for the completionist category, and only 2.7k overall. This data is by no means completely accurate, but it shows how long real players spend.
My own personal experience with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom puts it at a 100-hour game for me – that includes a focus on the main story and extras, but also a bit of messing around and having fun. I expect most people to see similar playtime as they find out how long Tears of the Kingdom is for them.
