A meteorite strike was captured on video by a Canadian home's doorbell camera

Read Time:32 Second

A doorbell camera on a Canadian home captured rare video and sound of a meteorite striking Earth as it crashed into a couple’s walkway. A Canadian woman and her partner returned home on a July evening to find their walkway littered with strange debris. Security camera footage showed something slamming against their entranceway with a crackle. About 48 tons of similar debris strikes Earth every day, but is much more likely to plunge into oceans than onto someone’s front stoop. The footage is believed to be a first: it’s rare to capture the sound of a complete meteorite strike on video.
