What are tropical plants in Grow a Garden? When Jack decides it’s time to give some exotic fruits to the beanstalk in the middle of the map, it’s time for alert Seed Shop shoppers to rise up. Many of the seeds stocked in the standard shop can fit the bill, making it one of the easier Beanstalk growth periods to max out.
While you dig through your Grow a Garden inventory for any Tropical plants or seeds you may already have, study the updated Grow a Garden pets tier list to see if the Beanstalk event rewards are even worth it. We also have guides on all GaG prickly plants, all Stalky plants, and all Grow a Garden berry plants.

Around seven Grow a Garden Tropical plants are currently obtainable.
Dragon Fruit, Watermelon, Mango, and Coconut can all be bought from the standard Seed Shop when stocked, making them the easiest way for a server to contribute to the growth of the Beanstalk.
If you took part in past events, you may have access to rarer crops like the Starfruit, Durian, and Passionfruit. These can be used to accelerate the growth of the Beanstalk by offering more points.
Some Tropical fruits, like the Pineapple and Banana, can be stocked in the Summer Seed Shop that has a chance to spawn every four hours.
Note that different species of these plants, like the Blood Banana and Moon Melon, are not classed as Tropical plants and cannot be handed over to Jack.
Once you’ve decided which Tropical plants to donate, speak to Jack. As long as you don’t have another plant in your hand, you can use his last dialogue option to hand over every Tropical plant you own in one go. Obviously, don’t do this if you want to sell some mutated crops.
