With just two days left until the official launch, all eyes are on the Galaxy S25 Edge, which focuses on being thin and light without compromising on the overall experience. Design and display
The Galaxy S25 Edge will stand out with its ultra-thin profile, potentially making it one of the slimmest flagship smartphones Samsung has ever produced. The device might measure just 5.8mm in thickness and feature a slim camera bump, with an overall weight expected to be well under 170 grams. As of now, it’s unclear whether Samsung will opt for the lighter and more expensive titanium frame or stick with the aluminium frame used in the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus.
If the leaks are accurate, the Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to the S25 Ultra, but with slimmer bezels and a more refined frame. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Edge will get Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection for improved drop and scratch resistance.
Cameras and performance
Camera upgrades are expected to focus more on software than hardware this time around. Early rumours suggest a 200MP main sensor, possibly a tweaked version of the ISOCELL HP2 found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with enhanced low-light and HDR capabilities. Accompanying it could be either a dedicated ultra-wide-angle or a telephoto lens. The device is also expected to support 8K video recording. Notably, the entire camera module — including the lens assembly — has been reengineered to reduce thickness while still delivering a flagship-level photography experience.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, although some regions may receive a variant with Samsung’s in-house Exynos chipset. Both versions are expected to offer improved efficiency and better thermal management. RAM could start at 12GB, with storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. The device is most likely to ship with Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box.
Battery and charging
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to pack a 3,900mAh battery, with support for 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Samsung may also introduce new battery health management features as part of One UI 7. While the battery capacity may appear modest compared to recent competitors, Samsung is likely betting on software optimisations to deliver all-day battery life.

How much will the Galaxy S25 Edge cost in India?
The base variant of the Galaxy S25 Edge, possibly with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, is expected to be priced around Rs 1,10,000. It will likely sit between the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Ultra in terms of pricing and specifications. The device is expected to be available for pre-order immediately after the launch via both online and offline channels.
